Arnea, the capital of the mountainous Halkidiki
There we will visit the renovated Temple of St. Stefen with its transparent floor, over which the visitor can stand or walk, while observing the enlightened archaeological site and the findings beneath. After wandering around observing the made of stone and wood houses of Arnaia, characteristic sample of Macedonian architecture, we may drink from the water which flows through the body of an age-old plane tree that is located in the main square. It is also a great opportunity to test and buy some of the pure honey produced traditionally in the region.

Ancient Stagira, the birthplace of the philosopher Aristotles
On the “Lietopi” peninsula, in the northeast of Halkidiki, are laying the ruins of the ancient city of Stagira. Between two hills, beside the sea and among idyllic beaches, the walls of the old city still stand.
